The expedition

Most people climb it rough. This is the opposite.

Most people climb Kilimanjaro in a crowd, in a borrowed tent, hoping the altitude is kind. This is the opposite.

One private group, the high-success-rate Lemosho route, elevated beds and a private chef at camp, and a dedicated doctor running daily health checks from the rainforest to the summit. The mountain stays hard. Everything else is taken care of.

What's included

  • Seven days on the mountain via the Lemosho route, chosen for its acclimatisation profile
  • Private camp: HEIMPLANET Arctic expedition tents, elevated beds, linens, Swiss down duvets
  • A private chef; western and local cuisine
  • A dedicated on-mountain doctor, 24/7, with daily health checks
  • Private, experienced guiding throughout
  • Five-star lodge nights before and after; private transfers
  • All national park fees, permits and equipment

On difficulty

You do not need to be a climber.

No mountaineering experience is required. Lemosho is chosen precisely because a slow, well-supported ascent is what gets people to the summit, not raw fitness. We design the pace and the support around the people on the trip. What's asked of you is persistence, not heroics.

Safety

Altitude, taken seriously.

A dedicated doctor on the mountain around the clock, daily pulse-oximetry and health checks, and an acclimatisation profile built for safety, not speed. The full medical and safety brief is available on request.

The attention to detail on this trip was insane. Standing on top of Uhuru Peak never felt easier.

Before you ask

Expedition FAQ

Do I need climbing experience or to be very fit?

No. Kilimanjaro is a walk at altitude, not a technical climb. We use the Lemosho route and build in time to acclimatise, because a slow, well-supported ascent is what gets people to the top. What it asks for is persistence.

How is altitude and safety handled?

A dedicated doctor is on the mountain 24/7, with daily health checks and pulse-oximetry, and the acclimatisation profile is built for safety rather than speed. The full medical and safety brief is available on request.

What does it cost, and what's included?

From approximately $10,000 to $12,000 per person, all-inclusive of transfers, park fees and permits, meals, luxury private camps and equipment, private guiding, and five-star lodge nights before and after.

How do I reserve, and what about cancellation?

A deposit secures your place; the balance is due before departure. Our refund policy is set out in full on the site, and we're glad to advise on travel insurance before you commit.

When are the departures?

October 2026, with further dates in January, February, July and August 2027. Groups are deliberately small, so places on each departure are limited.
